Product Introduction
Propylene Glycol Monostearate (PGMS) are lipophilic food additive obtained by esterification of propylene glycol with stearic acid followed by distillation. E477 emulsifier, also known as PGMS, is a type of emulsifier that helps to combine oil and water in various products such as cosmetics and food.
PGMS emulsifier has good foaming and emulsifying properties. Its foaming ability depends on the monoester content. The higher the monoester content, the better the performance. E477 emulsifier is often regarded as a foaming agent for cakes and butter cakes and is also often used in conjunction with mono- and di-fatty acid glycerides for synergistic effects. Propylene Glycol Esters are safe, easily accessible, and widely used in the manufacturing of various consumer goods.

Applications:
1. Bakery Items - PGMS emulsifiers are widely used in bakery items like bread, cakes, biscuits, and pastries to improve their texture and softness.
2. Dairy Products-Propylene Glycol Esters are also used as emulsifiers in dairy products such as ice cream, whipped cream, and milk-based drinks to stabilize them and enhance their smoothness.
3. Confectionery-PGMS food additives improve the texture and consistency of candies, gum, and other confectionery items.
4. Processed Meat-Propylene Glycol Esters are also used as stabilizers in processed meat and poultry products to prevent the separation of fat and water.
