Medium Treatment Of Anticorrosion Technology

Nov 11, 2020

Change the nature of corrosive medium to prevent or reduce the corrosion of medium to metal products or equipment. This method can only be used when the volume of corrosive medium is limited. Environmental treatment can be divided into two categories:

Removing or reducing harmful components in media The common methods are as follows: ① dehumidification and dustproof to eliminate harmful components such as steam, sulfur dioxide and dust in the air; ② deoxidization is the main technology of boiler water treatment, which can effectively control the water corrosion of boiler system; ③ desalination: before refining, various salts (such as magnesium chloride) contained in crude oil should be reduced to a reasonable level to reduce the corrosion of oil refining equipment It is an important process of crude oil treatment.

Adding corrosion inhibitor, adding a small amount of material in the corrosion medium can significantly reduce the corrosion rate. Corrosion inhibitors are divided into inorganic and organic. Inorganic corrosion inhibitors include nitrate, nitrite, chromate, dichromate and other oxidation inhibitors; phosphate, silicate, carbonate and other non oxidative corrosion inhibitors. Organic corrosion inhibitors include amines, aldehydes, heterocyclic compounds, imidazolines and organic sulfides. Although the chemical structures of these inhibitors are different, their inhibition rates are quite high in acidic media. The effect of corrosion inhibitor is closely related to various parameters and conditions of corrosive medium, so it should be selected strictly. Some corrosion inhibitors are toxic and cannot be used in the medium related to food preparation. In addition, vapor phase inhibitors (such as antirust paper) are also widely used to prevent atmospheric corrosion of metal products.
